Brighton has always had a great gay vibe, even if you don't go out on the scene like the majority of queer people it's still quite a gay friendly little seaside town and the annual pride event in Brighton and Hove is a celebration of this.

Every summer a huge parade takes over the main street and the town is taken over by a sea of rainbow flags and pink baloons, there is also a main stage where many famous acts have performed in the past and of course, the local bars and clubs do their fair share of fundraising for local charities.

Entrance to the majority of venues is free, but if you're coming from further north then expect a shock when you see the drinks prices as they are slightly inflated!
