Blogs - stop apologising!

I've noticed a trend amongst QYN's blogs recently.
People seem to be apologising at the end them. Either for it being boring, too long, too short, badly written, too rambly or whatever.

Your blog is your blog. People will read it if they want. They'll reach the end because they want to, not because it's a chore.
So stop putting yourselves down and use your blog for what it's meant for - you to rant/ramble/share/think about whatever YOU want!

I think what Milo is trying to say is there is an unnecessary lack of self-esteem in blogs and this is a sign of that.

This is a good point... I know I'm guilty of it, a LOT...I might try and cut down on that.

I deliberately stated at the end of my one that I would not engage in this often used mechanism of defense to gain approval, as that is how I see it; I do it in real life too often.

So i suppose us apologising for it is out of the question then? :-)

I think it's a sign of low self-esteem or confidence. People fear that they make bad names for themselves if they post negative blog entries so feel the need to apologise at the end of them. But I agree, we need to stop it.

"Queer" is used as an empowering, umbrella term to describe the diverse spectrum of communities recognised as being minoritised or socially disempowered due to their gender identity or sexuality. It is also a collective social identity which has many meanings.
