We were founded by a collection of local gay youth groups that came together to form a regional network supporting the needs of local LGBT young people. Queer Youth London and South East was originally 2 local groups - Queer Youth Sussex (which met in Brighton) and Queer Youth London which merged to form one big super-regional group.
Our Region
Covering the South East of England including the London area. Between Reading in the West to Ramsgate on the East Cost, from Bedford in the North to Brighton in the South.

"Queer" is used as an empowering, umbrella term to describe the diverse spectrum of communities recognised as being minoritised or socially disempowered due to their gender identity or sexuality. It is also a collective social identity which has many meanings.
