We were the Queer Youth Network first regional group to be founded way back in 1999 as 'Queer Youth Manchester'. The group used to meet upstairs every Thursday night in the Hollywood Showbar in Manchester's Gay Village. We later joined forces the country's first High School 'Gay Straight Alliance' in Putney, London to form 'Queer Youth Overground' now 'The Queer Youth Network'. In 2003 our Queer Youth Liverpool was founded and in 2006 we merged to form Queer Youth North West.
